Mr. Suranjit and Mrs. Bharti Barman came from West Bengal to Jaipur hoping to build a better life through hard work. But their happiness quickly turned into fear when, on 4 October 2026, Mrs. Bharti gave birth to a premature baby during the 8th month of pregnancy.
The baby was born weighing only 1.6 kg and is currently fighting for life in the NICU at Cradle Children Hospital, Jaipur.
Due to severe prematurity and IUGR (Intrauterine Growth Restriction), the baby is suffering from Low Birth Weight and Respiratory Distress and currently requires oxygen support.
Doctors have advised approximately 3–4 weeks of intensive NICU care, with the expected treatment cost reaching around Rs 8 lakh.
For this family, arranging such a large amount is extremely difficult. Mr. Suranjit works as a daily-wage labourer and earns only around Rs 500 per day, with no stable source of income to manage the growing medical expenses.
Every passing day is critical for this tiny baby. His parents are doing everything they can to continue his treatment, but they cannot face this financial burden alone.
