For Mr Harish and Mrs Payal from Kuchaman City, Rajasthan, the birth of their first child was supposed to be the happiest moment of their lives. But on 26 August 2026, during the eighth month of pregnancy, Mrs Payal delivered her baby prematurely.

Their newborn, Baby Payal, weighed only 1.8 kg at birth and was too fragile to fight on his own. He is currently admitted to the NICU at Garg Child Hospital, Jaipur, where he is suffering from Respiratory Distress Syndrome, Pneumothorax, and Apnea.

He requires ventilator support and continuous specialised NICU care to survive.

While their tiny baby is fighting for every breath, his parents are facing another difficult battle: arranging the money needed for his treatment.

Mr. Harish works as a daily-wage labourer, earning around Rs 600 per day, and is the only earning member of the family. To save his newborn child, he has already borrowed money from relatives and friends, but the prolonged treatment has become impossible for him to afford.

According to the doctors, Baby of Payal may require another 2 to 3 weeks of hospitalisation and specialised NICU treatment. The estimated cost of treatment is approximately Rs 2 to 3 lakh, an amount far beyond what this family can afford.

A newborn should be in his parents' arms, not fighting for every breath in an NICU.
