Master Kartik, a little child from a small village near Alwar, is suffering from Profound Hearing Loss, due to which he cannot hear or speak.
When Kartik was born, everything seemed normal. But as months passed, his parents noticed that he never responded to sounds or even turned when his name was called. After several medical tests including BERA, MRI, and HRCT scans at CKS Hospital, doctors confirmed that Kartik has severe hearing loss.
Doctors have advised an urgent cochlear implant surgery that can help Kartik hear and develop speech like other children. However, the surgery needs to happen within the next 2 to 3 months, before he turns two years old, as this is the most important stage for hearing and speech development.
The total treatment cost is around Rs 10 to Rs 12 lakhs, which is impossible for his father, a small farmer, to arrange alone.
Kartik deserves a chance to hear his mother’s voice, go to school, play with friends, and one day call out “Papa.”
