On 16 April 2026, Mr. Raj Kumar and Mrs. Seema from Jaipur were preparing to welcome their baby girl into the world. But at just 29 weeks, Seema went into premature labor. What should have been a moment of joy became a fight for survival.
Their daughter was born weighing only 1.3 kilograms. From her very first breath, she has been battling multiple serious conditions at once. She is currently in the NICU on continuous oxygen support and strong medications, fighting to stay alive every single hour.
Her conditions include Respiratory Distress Syndrome, which means her lungs are not yet developed enough to breathe on their own. She also has Apnea of Prematurity, where her breathing stops without warning. Doctors have also detected a heart defect called VSD, and she is being treated for neonatal jaundice alongside everything else.
Raj Kumar works at an insurance company and takes home between ?12,000 and ?15,000 every month. He has already spent ?3 lakh on her treatment, using up every rupee he had saved. There is nothing left. No backup, no family support, no other option.
This father goes to work every morning knowing his daughter is lying in the NICU, and comes back every evening with the same fear and the same prayer. His wife Seema sits by the hospital, unable to hold her own baby, waiting for the day she can finally take her home.
They are not asking for sympathy. They are asking for a chance. A chance for their daughter to breathe without a machine. To grow. To come home.
Your contribution, however small, goes directly toward her NICU care, medications, and the days of treatment still ahead of her. Please donate and share this story. Every rupee and every share brings this tiny heartbeat closer to home.
