In the small village of Ramgarh Shekhawati in Sikar district, Rajasthan, a family is living every moment between hope and fear. Their world, once filled with simple routines and childhood laughter, is now confined to the walls of a hospital.
Master Purav, just three and a half years old, should be spending his days running, playing, and exploring the world around him. Instead, he lies in the PICU at DMICC Hospital in Jaipur, fighting for his life with the help of machines.
Purav was initially admitted to the hospital with a high fever. What seemed like a common illness soon turned into a medical emergency. Doctors diagnosed him with Pyogenic Liver Abscess, Right Lung Collapse, and Respiratory Failure. These severe and life threatening conditions have overwhelmed his young body, leaving him dependent on intensive care and constant medical support.
Every breath Purav takes is a battle.
Every passing hour is critical.
For his parents, the last few days have been unbearable.
Purav’s father, Mr Neeranjan, is a daily wage labourer who earns around twelve to thirteen thousand rupees per month. With no savings and no medical insurance, he has already spent ?5.5 lakh on his son’s treatment. He borrowed money from relatives, friends, and anyone who could help, holding onto the hope that each borrowed rupee would bring his child closer to recovery.
Today, all those resources are exhausted.
Mr Neeranjan now stands helpless outside the PICU, watching machines breathe for his son. A father with no assets left to sell, no money left to borrow, and no option left but to pray.
Doctors have advised that Purav’s treatment must continue without interruption. The coming days are crucial. Without ongoing intensive care, medicines, and monitoring, Purav’s condition could worsen rapidly.
Purav does not understand what money is.
He only knows the comfort of his parents’ presence and the pain his small body is fighting silently.
