In the heart of Jaipur, a tiny warrior has just entered the world—too soon- and is in a battle far greater than most of us could imagine.
Komal and her husband were overjoyed at the thought of welcoming their first child. But their dreams took a sudden turn when Komal went into premature labour. Her baby was born weighing only 960 grams—fragile, underdeveloped, and gasping for each breath.
This baby is now fighting for his life in the NICU of Neo Clinic Children Hospital, Jaipur. Diagnosed with Respiratory Distress Syndrome and in shock, he is completely dependent on ventilator support. The doctors are doing their best, but the road to recovery is long—5 to 6 weeks of intensive care are needed to give him a chance at life. Unfortunately, he lost his mother in an accident.
His father (only parent) is a hard-working supervisor earning just ?12,000 a month, and his mother, a homemaker, is doing everything they can—but the estimated treatment cost is over ?6 lakhs, far beyond their reach.
